The 3D data of the ordered works are obtained from the customer and the line model plate placement and how the cores will be produced are determined. Using 3D data, filling and solidification simulations of the part are made in the Magmasoft Solidification Simulation Program, and model placement and gating design are made. The data of the produced model is submitted for customer approval. After customer approval, casting sets are produced. The production of casting tools are made in MES Casting Model Atelier or model manufacturers depending on the workload and customer deadline. Model and core boxes used in molding lines, and fixture designs on CNC grinding machines are designed by our expert staff with the help of CAD / CAM programs.
Reverse engineering studies are carried out for parts that do not have 3D data in our structure. The data of the parts with samples are transferred to the computer environment as 3D data with the help of scanning devices.
In our computer-controlled machines with high processing precision, model and core boxes are produced from araldite, wood, aluminum and gray materials.
MES Döküm has a competent quality organization due to the diversity in its customer portfolio and wide product range. It has received quality audit approvals from leading companies of the sectors it works. Continuous improvement is made in the quality system in line with quality standards and customer demands.
MES Döküm has a Spectrometer, Sand, Metallography and Metrology laboratory.
Chemical analysis of the samples taken at various stages in the process of liquid metal preparation and casting process in the melting furnaces are made in the spectrometer.
The spectrometer also analyzes peak, scrap steel and samples from customers for raw material intake inspection.
The samples taken during the casting process are checked according to ISO and customer specifications, micro and macro structure controls, tensile and hardness tests are carried out for the control of mechanical properties.
Parts that require internal cleaning control, such as hydraulic equipment, are controlled by endoscopy.
Sand quality control is provided in parallel with Hartley Device and mixers in the sand system by performing daily sand tests in the sand laboratory.
Humidity, compressibility, gas permeability, wet compressive strength, wet shear strength, separation strength, wet deformation strength, compact humidity, total clay ratio, active clay ratio, fine grain ratio, fine grain ratio, system sand size ratio, volatile matter rate, active and dead coal dust rates are tested.
In addition, silica sand, bentonite and coal dust are also controlled for entrance inspection purposes.
By using the Coordinate Measuring Device (CMM) and other measuring equipment, casting parts are measured according to customer technical drawings and a measurement report is prepared.
For product development studies, measurements of sample casting parts, models and core boxes are carried out with 3D Optical Scanning Devices at MES Döküm.
